With over 18 years of experience in the downstream petroleum industry in Ghana, Brent has a strong track record of leading successful teams and driving business growth. He began his career at Engen Ghana (2005-2012), where he held various management positions including Supply & Distribution Manager, Acting Retail Manager, and Finance Manager. He also had a stint with the International Business Division of Engen Petroleum Ltd, South Africa as a Business Process Improvement Manager overseeing BPI projects in Burundi, Rwanda, Tanzania and Ghana.
Brent later joined Tel Energy (2012-2021) as a Business and Finance Manager, where he successfully launched and implemented several strategic initiatives before taking on the role of Acting Managing Director. In June 2021, he was appointed Managing Director of Engen Ghana Limited.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Ghana, a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Leicester, and a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) from Henley Business School, University of Reading. Brent is also a Chartered Accountant and a Business Analyst, certified by the BCS Chartered Institute for IT.
As a dynamic and forward-thinking leader in the oil and gas industry, he has earned widespread recognition for exceptional leadership and has been at the forefront of shaping the future of the energy industry in Ghana. In May 2023, Brent was recognised as “Young CEO of the Year 2022” at the 7th Ghana CEO Summit. He has subsequently earned the “Most Promising Corporate CEO of the Year 2022” at the 13th Ghana Entrepreneurs and Executives Award and Summit 2023, and the “Excellence in Leadership Award, Oil and Gas” at the 2023 National Business Honours Awards.
