Real estate investment is becoming the most lucrative kind of business to bank your money on for a better future. After all the factors have been put into consideration, the investors become optimistic about harvesting big after some time. But what happens when their customers’ lives are in danger, just hanging on a swaying branch?
Who is to blame here when a building cracks and later falls resulting in the deaths of innocent rentees’? In the past, the government rejected the D8, D6, D10, and D12 metals, noting that the metals were not strong enough to hold the weight of the materials used and the weight of people, leading to most buildings cracking after a short period.

The government had to intervene with immediate effect to enhance the safety of the renters. Changes were made to the metals and baptized into another name, Y6, Y8, Y10, and Y12. These newly launched metals are said to yield strength and withstand any weight without causing any negative effects.
Since the introduction of these metals, the situation has worsened. More cracks in the buildings are seen, leading to the fall of larger buildings because of the materials used. However, not every complaint should fall on the shoulders of the engineers, as the proportions of the materials are used accordingly. Questioning the quality of the newly introduced metals.
Apart from having a strong fence, CCTV, dogs, and any other thing that can be used to ensure the security and safety of the renters in the compound, investors should ensure that quality materials are used. This is even evident on bridges which get splashed away by water. As should be known, bridges ought to be able to withstand the weight of anything moving on them. Unfortunately, with the use of low-quality materials, they break easily.
For example, the Dongo Kundu bridge, which is under construction between Mombasa and Kwale, ought to be constructed with the best quality materials. Factoring in every kind of natural disaster as it is being constructed. Henceforth, the government, in conjunction with NCA and the experts, has to do much research to come up with the best construction materials.
Therefore, the government, in conjunction with the National Conservation Authority, must hold a meeting and come up with measures that are going to ensure the safety of the people inside the constructed buildings and passersby. The government has also got to come up with the best materials used in construction to avoid future problems. This is because the building does not collapse because of natural disasters but due to continuous cracks, which weaken its strength. The buildings collapse because of poor materials used in the construction, which is an issue that must be dealt with to avoid losing innocent souls.
