Abiodun was appointed CEO in September 2015 and he is responsible for the overall strategy and operations of the Company. Until his appointment, Abiodun was a Partner at Distinct Consult & Associates, a private consultancy firm in the area of Turnaround and Change Management; Operational Process Development and Management; Financial Planning and Investment Analysis; and Entrepreneurship and Leadership.
He began his career as an Audit Supervisor and later as a part-time Lecturer for Management Staff at Peat Marwick Ani Ogunde between July 1993 and August 1995, before venturing into the Banking Sector as an Assistant Manager, Credit, and Marketing at Crystal Bank from August 1995 till July 1997. He had a brief stint in the Public Sector when he served in a Treasury function at the Local Government Service Commission in Lagos between July 1997 and September 2000.
In September 2000 after contributing his quota to public service, he revived his banking career to perform a commercial banking function at Liberty Bank Plc till August 2001. Thereafter, he moved to Omega Bank as a unit head and later was appointed Acting Group Head, Consumer Banking at Omega Bank Plc till December 2003 prior to co-founding Distinct Consult & Associates in January 2004.
He had a short stint in the downstream sector of the telecommunication industry at the inception of the GSM business in Nigeria with his organization being the biggest distributor of MTN and a major distributor to other networks. On average, the company was doing a turnover of over N1 billion on a monthly basis with MTN alone.
During his career before his appointment at IBILE Holdings Limited, Abiodun has been involved with investments in various activities in Nigeria for more than N 120 billion.
Abiodun is a chartered accountant with over 25 years post ICAN qualification experience spanning across Audit, Credit and marketing, Treasury, Commercial Banking, Consumer Banking, Procurement, Logistics, and Consulting. He is a graduate of Accounting with an MBA (with a specialization in Innovation and Entrepreneurship). Abiodun qualified as a chartered accountant in November 1994 with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria
