Brenda Mbathi, President GE East Africa, General Electra, Kenya

Brenda Mbathi is a seasoned, passionate, articulate Corporate Affairs leader in Africa.
Brenda joined GE in March 2015 and is responsible for managing government relations & advocacy across East Africa. She also leads GE’s corporate sustainability programs and is responsible for the strategic direction of GE’s CSR programmes across the African continent. Brenda currently serves as the GE Volunteers Africa Council Leader and GE Kenya Women’s Network leader.
Prior to joining GE, Brenda was Corporate Affairs Director for East African Breweries Ltd (part of Diageo Africa) leading and managing the company’s reputation agenda including stakeholder management; sustainability agenda (EABL foundation); public affairs & communication including investor & media relations.
Brenda is a Board Director of the Kenya Private Sector Association (KEPSA); member of the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) and Chairperson of the inaugural Board of Governors of the MPESA Foundation Academy.
