Keabetswe is the Bank’s first Motswana female Managing Director. She is a seasoned Executive and Corporate Leader, passionate about innovation, community impact and diversity. Appointed in 2019, she was at the helm of successfully leading the Bank through one of the largest brand transition projects, which saw Barclays Bank Botswana change to Absa Bank Botswana in February 2020.
Keabetswe spent the early part of her career as a consultant in the telco and banking industries and has held positions such as the Head of Core Banking Applications, Head of IT and the Chief Operating Officer. She has been lauded as an authentic and inspiring speaker, sharing her insights at several events, such as the DeBeers W 2019 Summit and webinars centered on Women Upliftment, Agriculture and STEM.
Keabetswe holds a Bachelor of Administration in Information Technology specialising in IT Management and Business Applications from the Tshwane University of Technology, and a Master’s in Business Administration with the Management College of South Africa. She recently completed a program in Positive Leadership and Transformation with IE University, Spain and has attended several leadership development programs.
