SENAR: Dakar-based family SME creating a niche in the agribusiness industry

SENAR (Senegal Peanut) is a Senegalese family SME based in Dakar and launched in 1982 by Mrs. Lydie Sagbo. The company specializes in the processing and marketing of groundnuts. SENAR is the first Senegalese company to market peanuts in Dakar supermarkets. In 1987, Lydie Sagbo expanded its offer by offering cashews and corn (popcorn) under the name of LYSA’s delicacies (in reference to Lysa Sagbo).

In 2015, her daughter, Sylvie Sagbo Gommard, after more than fifteen years spent abroad in the field of finance, took over the management of the company created by her mother to ensure its development and sustainability. In 2017, Sylvie Sagbo Gommard and Teranga Capital renamed the company Lysa & Co.
