Miguel Raposo Alves is a seasoned manager with more than 25 years of experience in global management and the financial sector. As the CEO of Banco Millennium Atlântico, he leads a team of over 1,500 professionals who are committed to the growth and development of the African economy and the life of people in Angola. He is passionate about innovation and sustainability in finance, and he leverages his expertise in fintech, banking and asset management, corporate ESG, and emerging and frontier markets to create value for all stakeholders.
He has a strong track record of delivering results and driving change in various international markets and organizations. Prior to joining Banco Millennium Atlântico, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Hemera Capital Partners, an asset management and corporate finance firm focused on Africa. He also held senior positions in TIIC Private Equity, KPMG, and Arthur Andersen, where he gained extensive experience in corporate and project finance, mergers and acquisitions, and business development. He holds a PGDip in Global Business from Oxford University and an AMP from the Wharton School. Miguel is also a devoted husband and father who values tolerance and mutual understanding in his family and work environment.
