Tosin Eniolorunda

Tosin Eniolorunda (born Oluwatosin Michael Eniolorunda, September 1985) is a Nigerian software engineer, entrepreneur, and fintech leader. He is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Moniepoint Inc., one of Africa’s fastest-growing financial technology companies, providing digital banking and payment solutions to millions of businesses and individuals.

  • Family: Son of Rotimi (engineering contractor) and Ajoke Eniolorunda (teacher). He is the eldest of three children.

  • Roots: From Ose Local Government, Ondo State, but raised in Ibadan, Oyo State.

  • Secondary School: Command Day School, Odogbo Ibadan (1995–2001), where he was active in the Junior Engineers, Technicians and Scientists Club.

  • University: Obafemi Awolowo University (2002–2007), graduating with a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.

Career Journey

  • 2009–2015: Interswitch Tosin began his career at Interswitch, one of Nigeria’s pioneering fintech companies. He rose through the ranks as a software engineer, later serving as senior software manager, unit head of application development, and product manager.

  • 2015–Present: TeamApt / Moniepoint Inc. In 2015, Tosin co-founded TeamApt with Felix Ike, initially bootstrapping the company with personal funds. TeamApt focused on building financial solutions for banks before evolving into a broader fintech platform.

    • Rebrand to Moniepoint Inc.: The company later rebranded to Moniepoint, positioning itself as a digital bank and payments provider.

    • Under Tosin’s leadership, Moniepoint has grown into a trusted platform for business payments, banking, and financial inclusion, serving millions of customers across Nigeria and beyond.
